House: Chase

For us, a TV show may at first glance seem a strange for medical a medical journal, but this is, after all a journal whose subject is the softer side of medical science.  And it is no secret that the drama characters entering our homes day and night are specifically designed, or written, to appeal to the masses. If they weren’t how would any respecting network maintain their ratings? They wouldn’t. So week after week we tune in to the television, and invite these characters into our home. We wouldn’t fall for any ole stereotype. We need stereotypes in disguise! And that is exactly what we watch.

Gregory House in this hot drama House M.D. played by Hugh Laurie is no exception. Possibly, he is one of the most cunning, likable characters on television today. In fact, almost every aspect of his multi-dimensional character appeals to someone, somewhere which makes his quirkiness almost as appealing as the guy next door. However, far too rooted in pain and insecurity, we can’t help but love this doctor everybody loves to hate. After all, he is all of us, just a little. The writers of House have hit a grand slam. There maybe people out there who scrutinize House, but just to give a bit of my opinion, House is reality. As what have been said by the series, the reality is irrelevant. And Dr. House had proved it. People who know him as an ass, treat him as an ass. People who don’t know him see a cripple, treat him as a cripple. What kind of selfish jerk wouldn’t take advantage of the fact? For one thing, he still saves life. That means he get credit for every life he saves from here out. House Season 8 Episode 12: Chase will be about Chase taking on a patient, Moira, who is a cloistered nun on the verge of making her life-changing vows, and through the treatment process, he and Moira form a unique connection that tests their faith and reason. But when Moira’s condition worsens and requires a risky surgery, Chase’s judgment is compromised. Meanwhile, House and Taub try to remain one step ahead of each other’s pranks. Better watch for House Season 8 Episode 12.
